Jean Paul Gaultier Munich #JPGMUC

A few weeks ago, I went to the Jean Paul Gaultier Fashion exhibition in the "Kunsthalle" in munich and thought I'd give you a little sneak peak in the fabulous pieces of art, he created.

Nearly all of the statues have got moving eyes and mouths projected on their faces, which creates an amazing atmosphere when you first enter the exhibition halls. The most stunning part, I think, were the eight women statues that seem to watch you as you go by and sing beautiful angel like hymns.

Jean Paul Gaultier is known to use a big variety of different fabrics and materials, such as satin, latex, shells, different types of leather and fur and sometimes even metal cans and wheat.

This Dress is made out of crocodile leather and Snake skin, sown together. A Chocolatier in munich actually made a very authentic looking copy of this dress out of chocolate and displayed it in his shop window.

Even Anna Wintour, Grace Coddington and Kim Kardashian were present. And the future King and Queen of England.

Jean Paul Gaultier did an amazing Job with creating this exhibition. He is a truly magnificent Designer and the amount of precision and detail that goes into each piece of clothing is absolutely stunning. Sadly the munich exhibition has now ended but I am sure that It'll be shown in other cities as well.
Let me know whether you've seen it and what you think of It.

Love,
Clare
